Rene Furterer Forticea Stimulating Shampoo Review

Hello all!!!

Today’s review is of a shampoo I’ve been testing out for the past few months. It’s called the Rene Furterer Forticea Stimulating Shampoo and I purchased it from my local pharmacy for around 14 euro/18.14 dollars. It’s also available on Amazon with more versions of it to choose from but I figured I should go with the one I could purchase locally and save on the shipping and handling expenses if I ended up not liking it.

Product Description

There’s 200ml/6.76oz of product and it’s going to last for about a month if you shampoo your hair once or twice a week. Even though taking frequent showers helps cleanse your skin and get rid of dirt and oil that has piled up throughout the day, shampooing your hair on a daily basis can actually harm your hair because you dispose of natural oils that your scalp produces that is good for your hair growth. In any case, this shampoo might be a bit expensive, it can actually last a while…

The consistency is very interesting: It’s almost gel-like but it also has round capsules in it which break as you’re shampooing your hair. It actually looks like a gel scrubbing cleanser, but you don’t feel the capsules at all. The smell reminds me of something with lemon in it, which actually gives a really clean feel – kind of important, don’t you think? The texture is very light and it doesn’t weight on the hair; afterwards, it feels like every single product you’ve used on your hair throughout the week (including the dirt and dust it might have collected from the outdoors) has been removed and your hair is squeaky clean :P 

Product Performance

Now, on to the most important question: Does it actually help your hair grow faster? In all honesty, I will say yes. My hair grows exceptionally slow and I have tried “stimulating” shampoos in the past but I got nothing… This one’s different. I have no idea what ingredient in this shampoo stimulated my hair but they has been growing faster and they also look a lot healthier than before. And I’m one of those people who colors, straightens, curls etc. my hair all the time. 

There seems to be a balance between the deep cleansing of this shampoo and how it moisturizes the hair, because even though it doesn’t weight on the hair (like some other moisturizing shampoos I have used over the years), it also doesn’t dry my hair out (like some deep cleansing ones do). Overall, I am absolutely satisfied with this product and I have been using only this one as far as shampoo goes, with a touch of the Tsubaki Damage Care Treatment for the ends of my hair, whose review you can read here 

Tsubaki Damage Care Treatment

Just to be clear: this won’t make your hair grow overnight. It doesn’t help them grow Rapunzel-style; no shampoo can do that. What it can do for you, as time goes by and you keep using it, is to stimulate your hair and help them grow a little faster than usual. So in a few months, you can start seeing actual results :)

Hair Factor no2!

 As a complement from the previous article The Hair factor there are some more tips to help all of you who wanna try dye their hair at home .Actually i do for years following those rules and i've never been disappointed by the result!
I have been to the almost extreme...I'm a naturally brunette and i have tried red,bronze,purple red and lately light brown.

As I've said in The Hair factor the tones that suit more to the brunettes are 3,4,5 or 6 ..and to the tones that suit to the naturally blondes usually are 1,2,7 ! But someone might be a naturally blond but looks better in warm tones (such as pink,red,orange yellow) or the opposite ! So she'll have to use a hair colour that has warm tones inside (3,4,5,6)

Extra advise always use a tone..don't use colours without a tone...they are very difficult as colours to look good on you.

Dont think that choosing a hair colour close to your natural will look good! if the tone is wrong it'll make you look pale,or extra pink ,it depends your skin!

first number is colour second is tone and third is secondary tone..0 means that the colour will be more vibrant

Also for you that you are more daring and you wanna use a professional colour! (it mean you will buy the colour and then the peroxide of hydrogen extra) you can do mix-ups.You can take one natural hair colour (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 checkThe Hair factor) and combine it with an other with the same base ( or not but the numbers need to be close for example a 9 and an 8 or a 2 and a3) but the second will have the tone you want! The reason to do that is to be more sure for the result you want! For example I naturally have a hair colour 5.4 (i belong to the warm colours)and I wanted to go for a dark honey-colour so I used an 8 plus a 7.3 !So my base is something in the middle of 8 and 7 and my tone is 3 !

 

Now the most important think that no colourist wanna share with you a very important factor is the
peroxide of hydrogen ! They have numbers starting from 10-40! 40 is extra dangerous and i would not recommend using it at home ,it is usually used for beached! And now the point of those numbers is...that as many numbers of colour you wanna change if you multiply them with 10 you have the peroxide of hydrogen you need!for example if you have a 6 and you want to go for an 8 you need a peroxide of hydrogen number 20 (8-6=2    2*10=20!) If you have a 6 and you want a 9 then you use a peroxide of hydrogen #30 ,because 9-6=3   3*10=30

 Here are some colour/tones to help you pick colour and tone! Rember always to choose correctly cold or warm!

Tsubaki Damage Care Treatment by Shiseido Review

Today's post is a review of the Shiseido Tsubaki Damage Care Treatment. This is one of the products from the Tsubaki line and I encourage you to try them all out! I personally chose the Damage Care Treatment because I do have pretty damaged hair from the constant color changes I like to go through and that have taken a toll on my hair over the years. The product comes in a 200g bottle and it's available online as well as in some Asian Markets that also have beauty products.

So the Tsubaki Damage Care Treatment is made especially for dry, permed, sun-damaged, color-treated and generally damaged hair. This is a product that is meant to be used once a week: you run the product through wet hair from roots to the ends and then wrap your hair up in a towel and let it sit for 5 minutes; after that, rinse with warm water. I think this would be a more deep treatment where you let the product really sink in, however if you use it as a conditioner and just apply it to your hair without wrapping it up in a towel, the results are still great! This is one of the great advantages of this product: whether you use it as a hair mask or simply as a conditioner, it still works wonders on your hair :)

Based on my experience with this product, I find that it is best that you only apply it to the parts of your hair that are damaged. For example, if your hair is a mixed type (your roots are fine but the ends are very dry), use this product on the parts of your hair that are dry because the Tsubaki Damage Care Treatment is very nourishing and can make perfectly healthy hair look oily.

 

The Tsubaki line uses camellia flower (which is what the name Tsubaki means) as well as oleic and amino acids that are very soothing and compatible to the skin and also treat and strengthen the hair from root to end. 

Right after the first use, you are basically left with very smooth, frizz-free and soft-to-the-touch hair and the results last for a good four-five days (provided that you don’t wash your hair in between). I must say though that after using the product consistently I have noticed an improvement in my hair’s texture. The split ends seems to have been reduced and also it has become easier to comb my hair without it breaking. I have also noticed a decrease in hair loss, which I think is because my hair has become stronger (YAY) and therefore don't break as easily. And it doesn't hurt that the product smells soooo nice ;P
