4 types of friends that can be annoying and how to deal with them

There are those friends that make us feel good about ourselves..that keep a good company and those that can be so annoying ..and make you feel insecure when you are around them.

Having done a lot of research and after an episodic year about my friendships i can help you analyse them and confront them :)

1. The "attention-is-all-I-need" friend

She really need to be in the center of the attention. She usually acts provocative and she can do anything to have every one's attention.

Why does she act like that?
  • She feels insecure about herself
  • She usually has low self esteem
  • She needs all the attention to make her feel good about herself

How to confront her:

Talk to her...with love..tell her what you think and how she looks like
Let her know the impression she gives..and tell her she doesn't need to act like that.

2. The "i-belong-to-you-belong-to-me" friend

She acts like she is your boyfriend. She judges everything about your life and she feels like she need to have a word on every aspect that's about you.She needs to be constantly with you,and she'll be extremely jealous if you go out with friends without inviting her.

Why does she act like that?

  • Mostly are people who are very possessive
  • Can be an insecure person that needs to be clinging on you
  • She is afraid of loneliness and been left alone
How to confront her:

You have to show her your limits..set you boundaries. Tell her that it's not necessary to be together all the time and that she suffocates you.Explain to her that she is being unreasonable in case she doesn't realise her own acts.

3.The "carbon-paper" friend

Well you decided to have your hair curled..so the next day she has the same style. You said its time to change your hair colour she does the same exact colour...and when you decide that it's time to buy a new coat oooh what a surprise she buys the same too!

Why does she act like that?

  • She has an unformed character
  • She doesn't know what she likes and she just keeps coping what you're doing because she thinks you are her role-model
  • She usually doesn't think she is capable of deciding her own style.
How to confront her:

You have to tell her that this is annoying ..but make sure not to offend her.Use nice words and help her find who she is and what she wants.

4.The snake - friend

You always hear things she says behind your back to others. You are sure that gossip is her only hobby ..and of course your secrets are no secrets after she knows.

Why does she act like that?

  • She has no kindness inside her and that means she is not ok with herself
  • She is probably evil and she has nothing good to do to you
How to confront her:

If you really think she is your friend try talking with her...but my advise would be...."RUUN!...as far as you can"

The truth about friendship between women

http://tracyhurst.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/Women-Friends-Age1.jpg

http://www.girlfriendsocial.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/women9.jpgSome people believe that this kind of friendship can't exist, some others that it is possible. What's the truth?

Well, it's kind of true that a real women friendship is hard to exist but have you ever wondered what's the truth that makes women incapable of making good friendships?

Truth #1 Men and women are so different

At first, the two sexes express their intimacy with different ways. Also, the subjects of discussion are very different; men don't usually share their feelings or their thoughts with their friends but women find that a fundamental factor for their friendships

Truth#2 Women forgive less easily than men

The reason that this happens is that women tend to  set high standards for their friendships and because of that every mistake can unsettle  their friendship

Truth #3 Competition and jealousy between women

Women tend to feel envy for their friends even if they don't want to..usually because of  boyfriends, carrier or social status...if the friend that feels lower cant control or hide their feelings the end of the friendship is close

Truth #4 Can it be?

Even thought is hard, true friendship between women is possible if both friends want so and also try...there shouldn't be any factor to break that friendship cuz if it happens it means that this friendship wasn't real all along ...or it was unilaterally real

a Friendly Foe ~ Friendship gone bad

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjxK9hwdrjt6MllWp7JwlwmiPPHJZ3-UriIdJXr499bucTb7s34IQHQwJwK5rMSgiTlUh-EayoUm9sB9NyiQfmDzmY3rHawgW_BnYnJmBgpsQwsT-exPjhjFN2vG4U4XvUjKqNBi1Hf7G8/s1600/GirlFriends.jpgI’ve known my friend for more years than I could count. I try to remember every single moment we had together and how we ended up here. We’ve been through everything together: primary school, cutting class in high school, our first “adult” holidays (without the parents), first cigarettes and drunken nights, uncountable sleepovers and college girls’ night out. But the thought that we have to stay apart for good is crossing my mind more and more.
Letting go of a best friend is similar to breaking up with your boyfriend of many years. This is a person with whom you have come to know what your everyday life is like and this is a person that knows most of your secrets and dreams. However, there comes a time when having the same fights over and over again, with the same complaints that are never resolved, as you slowly realize that your friend is changing into someone you can’t understand; all of this wears you out! You end up having the same conversation about the same issues between the two of you over and over again and you end up feeling what you say doesn’t get through. You realize that your friend has become a different person (one that you cannot communicate with). And of course, friends fight and disagree on things. You can’t agree on everything; however, no matter how different two friends might be, they share the same core values about life and friendship. They think the same way when it comes to their life goals and dreams and they expect the same things from their friendship – to be there for each other, despite their differences. When those values change, that’s when the friendship is no longer functioning. You are dealing with a person that no longer values the same things that define you as a person! And that changes everything…
The worst moment is when you realize your friend had been consciously competing with you throughout your friendship, jealous of your every move and success, even when you were only trying to make her feel better because she had no faith in herself. When your friend is having a hard time, all you wanna do is stand by her and help her. But, what happens when her problems include self-destructive habits such as drinking to the point of blacking out or taking drugs? And even more, what happens when she thinks that nothing is wrong? Can you help her? The answer is somewhere in between, you can only help someone if they want to help themselves. You have to set your boundaries even if it’s hard for you and her too. There comes a point where she cannot use you as her stepping stone for life, having you cover for her for her parents or lying to everyone just so she had keep doing the same thing. That won’t help her. She has to take on her responsibilities and you have to ultimately stop being her “mom”.http://cdn.sheknows.com/articles/2011/11/two-friends-in-conflict.jpg
Let’s face it. When relationships are so close it is hard to tell whether your friendship is having a problem or the problem lies with you. You make excuses for your friend, defending her to yourself when she doesn’t see the need to do so (because, in her mind, everything is fine). Usually, when a friend changes so much, it’s hard to see it: you refuse to realize what is happening.
When you decide to choose a life without your best friend, it means that there are things that annoy you in that person that have now led you to cut that person out of your life. These problems were probably always there but because of your love for her, you didn’t wanna realize them.

~Blair Waldorf

It may be hard to believe, but friendships sometime need a break. And if you manage to reunite with your friend without those problems, then that means that both of you have changed and things are gonna be better than before.
