Hair Factor no2!
As a complement from the previous article The Hair factor there are some more tips to help all of you who wanna try dye their hair at home .Actually i do for years following those rules and i've never been disappointed by the result!
I have been to the almost extreme...I'm a naturally brunette and i have tried red,bronze,purple red and lately light brown.
As I've said in The Hair factor the tones that suit more to the brunettes are 3,4,5 or 6 ..and to the tones that suit to the naturally blondes usually are 1,2,7 ! But someone might be a naturally blond but looks better in warm tones (such as pink,red,orange yellow) or the opposite ! So she'll have to use a hair colour that has warm tones inside (3,4,5,6)
Extra advise always use a tone..don't use colours without a tone...they are very difficult as colours to look good on you.
Dont think that choosing a hair colour close to your natural will look good! if the tone is wrong it'll make you look pale,or extra pink ,it depends your skin!
Also for you that you are more daring and you wanna use a professional colour! (it mean you will buy the colour and then the peroxide of hydrogen extra) you can do mix-ups.You can take one natural hair colour (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 checkThe Hair factor) and combine it with an other with the same base ( or not but the numbers need to be close for example a 9 and an 8 or a 2 and a3) but the second will have the tone you want! The reason to do that is to be more sure for the result you want! For example I naturally have a hair colour 5.4 (i belong to the warm colours)and I wanted to go for a dark honey-colour so I used an 8 plus a 7.3 !So my base is something in the middle of 8 and 7 and my tone is 3 !
Now the most important think that no colourist wanna share with you a very important factor is the
peroxide of hydrogen ! They have numbers starting from 10-40! 40 is extra dangerous and i would not recommend using it at home ,it is usually used for beached! And now the point of those numbers is...that as many numbers of colour you wanna change if you multiply them with 10 you have the peroxide of hydrogen you need!for example if you have a 6 and you want to go for an 8 you need a peroxide of hydrogen number 20 (8-6=2 2*10=20!) If you have a 6 and you want a 9 then you use a peroxide of hydrogen #30 ,because 9-6=3 3*10=30
Here are some colour/tones to help you pick colour and tone! Rember always to choose correctly cold or warm!

Lovely Me:ex - Magic Pink Powder Mask Review

Today’s
post will be a review of a product I recently purchased from Yesstyle.com. It’s
called the Lovely Me:ex – Magic Pink Powder Mask (in Blue)
As you
might know I am a sucker for any skin product that contains salicylic acid,
which has helped me tremendously with my mild acne and this mask contains that
as well as calamine and other ingredients that promise “…a flawless solution in easing skin problems and provides care for
troubled skin areas by softening flaky, dead skin cells”.

The
Me:ex – Magic Powder Mask comes in a container shaped like a little kid’s face,
which has to be the cutest packaging ever! The box it came in also has the same
design on the front and something written in Korean… I can’t read it, but I’m
sure it says lovely things hehe
For
those of you who don’t understand Korean, the box has instructions in English on
the side. Overall, you get a warm, fuzzy feeling just by looking at the
packaging, let alone experiencing the magic inside :P
The
texture of the mask itself is very unique. I wouldn’t exactly describe it as
powder (even though the product name contains the word); it’s more of a gel
meets cream texture… Even though it dries completely to a powdery substance while
you have it on, it kind of looks like sorbet ice cream in its container ;P
And it smells like ice cream too!

The
product description also states that you should apply this mask after applying
toner. I am not the biggest fan of using facial masks after applying skin care products so I just skipped that step. I am
pleased to report that my skin did not react badly to this decision – and I
have pretty sensitive skin so it was a bit of a risk :S
Product
Performance:
Like I
mentioned before, the mask dries completely within 10-15 minutes and then you’re
supposed to rinse off with lukewarm water and carry on with your regular skin
care routine. To be honest with you, I pretty much expected the best from this
mask (because of the salicylic acid) and I got what I wanted: my skin tone
looked even, smooth, the redness was gone and I looked like I had just woken up
from my beauty sleep. It didn’t irritate my skin in any way and I have to say
that this is the most soothing face mask I currently own; from beginning to
the end, all it does even after I remove it is sooth my skin and make it velvet
soft as well as hydrated :)

performance: AWESOME. Great for people with sensitive, flaky, dry skin or
anyone who wants a good product that delivers but doesn’t irritate.

totally worth the investment.

Whole Wheat Cake Recipe!!!
Happy
Valentine’s Day!!! Or Single Awareness Day – depends on how you look at it :P
Today’s
post is a fun cake recipe that is very easy to make, healthy and great for
Valentine’s Day or any occasion if you don’t feel like eating cake that has
creams and sugary decorations on it. This cake is also very healthy since it
doesn’t contain butter – instead the butter is substituted with extra virgin olive oil.
This is
a whole wheat cake recipe!!!!
This is
what you will need:
Note:
we use the metric system here in Europe so everything is in grams, kilos, ml
and the like…
500gr
whole wheat flour
200ml
extra virgin olive oil
450gr
sugar
4-5
eggs
300ml
milk
1
teaspoon of French Vanilla powder
How to make the cake:
Put the
olive oil in a mixer and beat it while slowly adding the eggs one by one and
the sugar. Continue beating the mix for about 3 minutes. Then, consecutively,
add the whole wheat flour, the milk and the Vanilla capsule while stirring
slowly. Place the mix in a kitchen oven dish which you have greased with oil
and flour. Put the dish in the oven, which you need to preheat – leave it to
bake for about an hour and check it from time to time. Let it sit for about 10
minutes and when it’s cooled down take it out of the dish and serve. Make sure
it’s cooled enough to take out of the dish, otherwise it will get stuck in the
dish and consequently ruined.
p.s You can add chocolate sprinkles in the mix if you want to add a taste of chocolate to your cake.

Korres - Magnolia Bark Night Cream Review
Hello! Hope everyone has had a
relaxing and fun weekend :)
Today’s post is a review of
another Korres product. Korres has always been a good choice for products that
feel “natural” and light to the skin, but this year they truly stepped it up
and produced some really nice creams and makeup products, among other things.
The product I will be reviewing
today is the Korres - Magnolia Bark Night Cream for First Wrinkles.
As you can guess from the product title, this night cream contains magnolia bark extracts for skin nourishment, elasticity and restoration. Magnolia is also known for helping fine wrinkles fade while preventing new ones from appearing. Another key effect of magnolia is that it enhances the skin's defense against inflammation.
Product Description:
The night cream comes in a small glass-like container with 40ml worth of product. After testing this our through samples at first, I found out that you really need only a small amount for the entire face and neck as this cream is very concentrated and moisturizing. And it smells absolutely awesome :P
Here is what the cream looks like. Like I mentioned before, it's very concentrated but thankfully enough it doesn't feel like you're piling up a product - it feels very light.
Product Review:
You can see the results immediately after you've applied the product. Lately, my skin has been looking a lot more tired than usual and so whatever fine lines and wrinkles I had are exaggerated, which only makes me look more tired and older :S However, right after I tried the Korres night cream my face looked like I had been given a facelift! The lines on my forehead that had been accentuated due to my skin's poor performance over the past few weeks had literally disappeared while the rest of my skin looked smoother, brighter and even my dark circles seemed to have faded a little. And that's just after the first try!
I am pleased to say that the results last. I apply this cream every night after removing my make up and I have noticed a significant difference on the wrinkles on my forehead (which troubled me the most), while the redness on some parts of my face like around the nose and mouth has been significantly reduced. It doesn't do anything for acne so if you have acne-prone skin (like myself), make sure to use a different product for that.
Overall, I am extremely impressed with how refreshed and bright my face looks after using this cream and I would definitely recommend it :)

Sephora Makeup Set Review

all!!!
So, Sephora has recently
produced a makeup box similar to the Coastal Scents 88 pallet (in terms of the eye shadow collection), except the
Sephora box also includes blushes and lip glosses! I really wanted to add an eye shadow/blush/lip gloss pallet to my makeup collection and this was too fun and cute to resist :P
When I
saw this at the store, I was a little reluctant since I’m a firm believer of “something’s
gotta give”: either the quality of the products included would be low or the
price would be too high or something like that… Mea culpa, because this is
easily one of my best purchases of 2013!
There were two makeup box sets: a large one
that included a variety of lip glosses as well as lipsticks and blushes
alongside the huge number of eye shadows and eyeliners and a smaller one, which
lacked the eyeliners but had an equal amount of eye shadows and lip glosses!
Product Description
Here
are some pictures of the smaller box which I ended up purchasing (I got the
smaller one since I pretty much use only black eyeliners and was more
interested in exploring different eye shadow and lip gloss options).
This is what the whole thing looks like. That little box in the first picture opens up to this :P There are a total of 60 eye shadows of different textures (more details in the pictures to follow), as well as 60 lip glosses with an addition of three highlighting colors (that can also be used as eye shadows) and three blushes.
Here is the central piece, where all the "earth toned" eye shadows are. There is also a mirror and some eye shadow brushes stored in this compartment. The "earth toned" eye shadows are mostly some variety of brown or gold with glittered or mat textures but there are also some purple or light lilac toned eye shadows.
It doesn't really come through in the picture but the two colors on the top right are purple/lilac toned...
Here is a picture of the left section, where the eye shadows are stored.
On the last section to the left, you can see the three large highlighting colors that are available, but honestly they can also be used as regular eye shadows.
The 12 eye shadows in this section are gel textured (so they can pretty much be used as eye liners as well)
And this is the right section with the lip gloss selections and the blushes on the last section to the right.
Product Review
First of all, I love love love the fact that every section is color coordinated :P In both the eye shadow and the lip gloss bit, there are different color families to choose from and combine to achieve different looks. Plus, it's more practical than having to go through every eye shadow to find which one would match which...
There is a variety of lip
glosses to choose from as well and not just “glittery” ones: most of them, once they’re
on, look like lip sticks/lip stains and so they really add to the look.There is a lip color for pretty much any occasion!
This has to be the simplest of ways to be exposed to the wonders of makeup; you can try out colors you had never thought of before and broaden your look book :) There
are so many different colors to choose from and you can seriously create
whatever look you’re in the mood for, just with the products in this kit.
The
only disadvantage of makeup box kits, in my opinion, is that if/when you run out of
one eye shadow which comes in small amounts, you can’t stock up as easily. However, this doesn’t seem to be
a problem with this particular kit, since all eye shadows are very pigmented and so you need
very little product each time. And the quality is amazing, the colors really stand out even when creating a monochromatic look and I have a feeling that for some of them, I won't even need an eye shadow primer.
Overall, I'm very satisfied by this purchase. The selection of colors is very satisfying and the quality hasn't suffered at all. In addition this was priced very fairly and that's always a good thing ^^
